Thanks for visiting my music website!

Here’s the quick scoop on me:

I was born in Cameroon, Africa to missionary parents; my mom says I kicked in the womb during worship times at church, so this whole worship thing got started pretty early for me.

In high school my youth pastor asked me to lead worship for youth group (after my friends volunteered me without my approval!); I reluctantly said yes and it was pretty awkward at first (I played an upright piano facing the wall away from the students), but it started me on an amazing journey…

While pursuing a marketing degree at Azusa Pacific University (’cause music would never actually pay the bills, right?), doors started opening right and left and, before I knew it, a career in music opened up. It’s been a surreal experience of writing and recording music and leading worship in the local church and around the globe.

These days I get to I lead musical worship and teach clinics for conferences and churches around North America, Europe, and South America including Mexico Outreach, which annually draws over 5,000 students. I’ve had the privilege of leading worship with Lincoln Brewster and Jason Ingram, releasing 7 CD’s, a live worship DVD, touring with Tommy Walker and the Azusa Pacific University Choir & Orchestra, and teaching worship leading students at William Jessup University.

After 12 years as the worship arts pastor at a Bayside Church near Sacramento, CA, 18 months ago I launched Worship Expedition, a training ministry for worship leaders and teams. In addition to igniting people to passionately worship the Lord, I have a real heart for developing the leaders, musicians and technicians that serve faithfully in the local church. I’m married to Katie, the love of my life, and we have two young boys Ryan and Andrew.

Leading and Developing Video

What are some of the most important things to think about when leading worship and developing worship teams? Check out this video where I share my thoughts on that and tell a little of my story (and show some footage of me leading worship at various events).
